Trustmark Healthy Choices Plan Designs

Designed to address rising healthcare costs for small to mid-size employers, these innovative self-funded plan designs without a PPO network help control plan costs while enabling employers to offer freedom of provider choice1. With Trustmark Healthy ChoicesSM plan designs, provider reimbursement rates for most covered healthcare services1 are based on the Reasonable Fee, which is typically calculated at a multiple of the Medicare reimbursement rate.

Health Savings Accounts (HSAs)

Pairing an HSA with one of our consumer-directed health plan (CDHPs) designs, also known as a high deductible health plan (HDHP), enables employers and employees to take advantage of tax advantages.

An HSA is a portable, personal bank account owned by an individual with a consumer-directed health plan and used to pay for qualified medical expenses not reimbursed under the HDHP. Anyone can contribute to the HSA. HSA contributions are tax deductible and unused balances can be carried forward and earn interest from year to year.

The bank that administers an HSA is selected by the employer or its employees.

Network Availability

We offer national PPO networks, such as Aetna Signature Administrators® (ASA) PPO Network and Cigna® PPO Network1, and regional networks.
