Trustmark Voluntary Benefits is pleased to announce that its permanent term life insurance product, Trustmark Life + Care®, is now available with a 7702B qualified Long-Term Care rider. Currently offered in California, the 7702B rider is compliant with applicable IRS guidelines and will be made available in 36 states on March 1, 2024, with more states to follow. In those states, the earliest possible effective date will be April 1, 2024.

“As states explore the possibility of implementing their own long-term care plans, producers are seeking more long-term care alternatives for their clients, including hybrid life products with qualified long-term care riders,” said Trustmark’s Dan Kraft, VP, Product and Innovation. “Our unique Trustmark Life + Care product already was well received in the market, and adding a qualified LTC rider will only increase its appeal.”

Trustmark Life + Care is designed to simplify the process of receiving life and long-term care coverage. The rates and benefits are guaranteed, and the long-term care benefits are available for care provided by a professional or a family member.
