Trustmark has finalized an agreement to sell Trustmark Health Benefits (Health Benefits), its third-party health benefits administration business, to Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC), the largest customer-owned health insurance company in the U.S.
The sale enables Trustmark to accelerate its customer-driven, strategic priorities in its remaining businesses, Trustmark Voluntary Benefits, Trustmark Small Business Benefits and HealthFitness.
The transaction closed on October 5, 2022, and Health Benefits is now a wholly owned subsidiary of HCSC. We do not expect this transaction to result in any disruption to Health Benefits clients or members.
Current customers, partners and healthcare providers accessing services from Trustmark Health Benefits should continue to use the secure customer service portal, https://mytrustmarkbenefits.com, or call 800-990-9058.
